Back from Nashville, and it was great! The energy in the theatre was amazing, even to my non-Glambert self. Anyway, I'll talk more about the trip/concert later, I just wanted to post this first.

My sister and our mom are Facebook friends with hundreds of other Adam Lambert fans, and are in nearly every fan group on the website. So when one fan who'd been sick for awhile died last week and some of her friends posted about it, my sister and mom heard about it as well.

The fan, an older lady named Mary Lou, had had tickets to the Nashville show, and had been counting the days until she would get to see Adam Lambert perform live. Very very sad situation. My mom had an idea, and wrote to the lady's friends for approval. They liked the idea, and we ended up waiting at the stage door of the theatre, with a vase of Calla lilies and a letter about Mary Lou (and a plea to dedicate a song in the concert to her memory).

It being very early in the morning, we figured Adam'd still be in his bus (which was backed up to a sort of loading-dock a few yards from the stage door), but if he was then he didn't come out while we were there then (more on that later!).

After waiting around awhile, we decided to try a different tack: we went into the lobby, and waited for someone important looking to come by. After a few minutes (and a failed attempt to give the flowers to a roadie), we were able to convince someone who might have been the manager of the theatre to take the flowers and put them in Adam's dressing room. That was the last we heard of the flowers.

We listened carefully during the concert to see if he would mention Mary Lou, but he said nothing about her. We were disappointed, but we understood that it probably just wasn't possible for someone to add things into their show like that whenever anyone asked them to. Oh well.

My mom and sister left their laptops at home for the trip so they weren't able to go online until we got home.

The first thing my sister always does when she goes online is check Twitter (she's obsessed with Twitter!).

This is what she saw:

Oh my gosh!

All of Mary Lou's friends are so excited, and keep thanking my mom and sister for what they did. Adam Lambert has over half a million Twitter followers, while there were only 2400 people at the concert last night (small theatre), so this is way bigger than anyone had hoped. Meanwhile, entertainment websites are busy trying to: A. figure out who this mysterious Mary Lou Moscheo is, and B. figure out how Adam Lambert found out about her (the consensus seems to be that 'someone tweeted him about her').

We'll always know the truth, though. :)
